Latest shananigans. A memorial piece for Amy Whinehouse. Yea she had her problems, but she was also a really talented singer. So going in a different direction, away from the trashy celebrity magazines and instead to an art nouveau inspired tribute.

What's awesome. . . making your own sketchbooks. What's even cooler is then filling them up. Here are just a few pages so far, with one collaborative sketch from Brett:) Hope you like.
Just wrapped up this piece, it was quite a journey after restarting it so many times, but I've had a desire to illustrate skeleton people for a while now and I thought that the idea fit with the bands unique sound. And finding out that the band is from Maryland as well andddd Merry Weather Post Pavilion is literally 20 minutes away from my house, so I couldn't resist:)

So as of late some friends and I started up our own band sooo why not make a band poster for ourselves? And this was the end product. Check us out on facebook too, just search Buffalo Wizards. More to come:)

Does anyone else listen to The Kills? If not, check em out! Their new album inspired this poster. Background story is that the two musicians met in a hotel, when Alison Mosshart heard Jamie Hince playing guitar in the room above her. They decided to form a rock and roll baby together and went off to happily ever after blast our ears with amazing music. Enjoy:)
My latest piece. Im submitting it to Illest, so fingers crossed, but it doesn't matter it was still lots of fun to make. Started off a a self portrait, but I think it kinda morphed into something else. Anyways hope you like!

Janelle Monae portrait! One of my favorite musicians right now, felt inspired by her album the ArchAndroid to do this 3 hour piece. Completed in ink and charcoal.

The image quality of this is not so good. I swear it looks better in person! lol But anyways can you guess who it is?...if not its Vincent Price

This ones a golden oldie, its a few months old but I still dig it. Titled "How Things Grow". Relating photosynthesis and plant growth to human development. Enjoy!

A halloween poster piece entitled Cry Baby Bridge for the West Bottoms district of Kansas City. Another piece completed at the Academy. It was based on an urban myth about a woman who is pregnant and not married. She fears her families disapproval so she throws herself and her baby off of a bridge. Tragic. So the legend goes, that if you go to the bridge and sit and wait, you will hear a baby crying from underneath it. OoOoOOOOooo
p.s. the shadows of the telephone poles on the building are also symbols for crosses, marking the grave site of the mother and child. Enjoy:)
